Getting Back to tradition

Puppets receive hands based on original designs

When Bob Pelham begain producing puppets in 1947 the original puppets featured hands cut and shaped in wood as can be seen in the illustration below of Bob's first ever puppet, Chloe.

In an effort to get back to tradition the new Pelham Puppets will also feature these wooden shaped hands so that the new puppets will be produced entirely in wood sourced from managed forests or from recycled timber supplies.

We hope you will like this new feature as we seek to keep the Pelham puppet tradition alive of inspiring a new generation of young puppeteers.
